Other activities

  • Poster session and student talks

The LASER school should be interactive. Participants will be given the opportunity to present their research during the poster session. The authors of selected posters will be able to present their work in the form of a short talk.

  • Sea, sun, and software

Software engineering is our topic number one but we do not forget that one has to relax in order to learn efficiently. Elba's beautiful beaches are available to all the participants at no additional cost. We have also booked sunny weather for the whole duration of the school.

  • Excursions

Elba is known for its LASER school but not everybody knows that Napoleon was there too. A guided tour of Elba by bus, including a visit to Napoleon's House, will be organized on Wednesday 15 September. Departure time : 14:30. Duration: 3.5 hours.

There is no better place to discuss the latest developments in software engineering than the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. A boat trip with a few stops for swimming will be organized on Saturday 18 September. Departure: 14:00. Duration: 4.5 hours.

  • Party

We strongly encourage the participants to discuss their research with other people and exchange the ideas. We hope that the party on Saturday 18 September will provide a platform for fruitful discussions and give birth to many interesting collaborations.
